They
contain a group of coffins of the kings, queens, priests and
priestesses from the New Kingdom and Late Period. The most
important ones are the huge coffin of queen Merit Amen, the wife
of Amenhotepl from the 1S’” dynasty. This kind of coffin
called ”Reshi” is known from the 17’” dynasty and used
only by the females of the royal family. There is also some of the
funerary furniture of this queen included a piece of linen tissue
with the name of ”Masaharti” the chief of priests of Amen from
the 21th dynasty, meaning reopening of the tomb in this dynasty.
Also, there are the coffins of kings ”Seqnenre” and his
son”Ahmosesl ”and they are free from any inscriptions or
decorations.
